    Human IL-13Rα2 ELISA is to be used for the in-vitro quantitative determination of interleukin 13 Receptor (IL-13Rα2, also known as CD213α2) in human serum, plasma, buffered solutions or cell culture medium. The assay will recognize both natural and recombinant human IL-13Rα2.

    Protocol

    The IL-13Rα2 Kit is a solid phase sandwich Enzyme Linked-Immuno- Sorbent Assay (ELISA). Monoclonal antibodies specifics for IL-13Rα2 have been coated onto the wells of the microtiter strips provided. Samples, including standards of known IL-13Rα2 concentrations and unknown are pipetted into these wells. During the first incubation, the IL-13Rα2 antigen is added to wells. After washing, a biotinylated monoclonal antibody specific for IL-13Rα2 is incubated. Then the enzyme (streptavidin-peroxydase ) is added. After incubation and washing to remove all unbound enzyme, a substrate solution which acts on the bound enzyme is added to induce a coloured reaction product. The intensity of this coloured product is directly proportional to the concentration of IL-13Rα2 present in the samples.
